Welcome to my new series, "Broke Healer? No Thanks!"
Inside this 8-part series, I will be delving deep and breaking through the blocks that cause spiritual entrepreneurs to stay broke or ride the "feast or famine" train.
So, today we're tackling something I see in our community every single day: the struggle to give ourselves permission to prosper while doing spiritual work.
Personal Story
When I first started my healing practice, I was charging $25 for half hour-long sessions that left me completely drained. I'd pour everything into my clients, then stress about bills all month. I had this core belief that making "too much money" from spiritual work somehow made it less pure. Then one day, a mentor asked me a question that changed everything: "How can you model abundance for your clients if you're living in scarcity?" That hit me hard. How could I help others manifest their best lives when I was constantly worried about making rent?
Core Teaching
This idea that spiritual work must be accompanied by financial struggle is not just false—it's actually harmful to your mission. Here's the truth: Money is simply energy. It's a tool for exchange. When you provide transformation for others, that energy needs to flow back to you. Otherwise, you create an energetic imbalance.
The most effective spiritual entrepreneurs understand that prosperity isn't just permitted—it's necessary for sustainable impact. When you're financially stable, you:
- Have more energy to serve others
- Reach more people who need your gifts
- Create better resources and experiences
- Model the very abundance you're likely teaching
The most powerful shift happens when you stop seeing money as separate from your spiritual work and start seeing it as an essential part of your spiritual ecosystem.
The ONE Takeaway: Create Your Prosperity Permission Statement
Today, I want you to create what I call a "Prosperity Permission Statement." This is a personalized declaration that reconciles your spiritual values with financial success.
Here's how:
- Find a quiet space and center yourself
- Complete these sentences:
- "I give myself permission to prosper through my spiritual work because..."
- "When I am financially abundant, I can better serve others by..."
- "My prosperity directly supports my purpose by..."
- "I release the belief that spiritual work must be paired with financial struggle because..."
Write these down, speak them aloud daily, and place them where you'll see them when making business decisions. This isn't just an affirmation—it's a new operating agreement with yourself and the universe.
Closing
Remember, your gifts deserve to be valued, and you deserve to thrive while sharing them. Next episode, we'll tackle how to actually price your services in alignment with your true worth. Until then, I invite you to live in the truth of your Prosperity Permission Statement.
